Project overview

A suite of automatic swing doors across multiple theatre areas, programmed for pressure-controlled clinical spaces.

We were engaged to specify, supply and install a full suite of automatic swing door systems across several hospital theatre areas, serving anaesthetic rooms, theatre entrances and designated one-way exits that control movement through the department.

Corridor doors were added with motion detection for smooth, touch-free circulation. Walls were reinforced where needed, the systems were programmed to run safely under pressure-controlled conditions, and cut-off switches let theatre staff stop the doors operating during critical procedures.

What we delivered

  • Part of a wider theatre upgrade across multiple clinical zones
  • Push-pad activation with full access-control integration
  • Motion-activated corridor doors for touch-free flow
  • Staff cut-off switches for use during procedures
  • Specialist programming for pressure-controlled environments
  • Reinforced wall and frame structures for heavy clinical use
  • Hygienic, touchless operation supporting infection control
  • Smooth, quiet running in sensitive theatre areas

The challenge

Multiple trades were working inside a live clinical environment, so the project relied on detailed preparation and close liaison with the client from day one to keep theatres safe and operational.

The outcome

A compliant, hygienic and reliable door system that supports controlled movement through the theatre department and gives clinical staff full control when it matters most.
